Pete and Matt met whilst working at a fundraising organisation over 12 years ago, and have worked together ever since! Between them they have over 25 years fundraising and event experience.
Matt's your point of call for operations and finance. Matt spent the majority of his career in donor development and recruitment and was considered an expert in his field. He's always ready for a laugh and to chat about football...that's if he hasn't sneaked out of the office to grab a brekkie!
Pete has spent near enough his whole 10 year fundraising career in events. Pete was the very first staff member at Global Adventure Challenges and has seen the calendar of challenges grow from just 6 per year, to over 70! His enthusiasm for event fundraising is infectious and he's well up for discussions about the challenges - he's your man for questions and still has the time to lead and join the odd challenge or two!
Daniel has been in the Team from the very early days and is responsible for all our IT, databases, design work - basically, everything that involves any complicated computer programming!
Jane came to Global Adventure Challenges in 2007 after working for a large commercial travel agency, and has brought a wealth of knowledge to the organisation! Jane's your lady when it comes to flights and bookings, and she's often the first person you speak to when calling the office.
Sangita joined the Global Adventure Challenges team in the latter part of 2008 after working for an event company in New York City! Working part time, Sangita helps out with the administration of participant registration
Jason joined our team in January 2010 after working as a free lance challenge leader for us! Jason heads up all the challenges that we operate in the UK and Europe, basically, any event that doesn't require the use of an in-country agent. He's also Mountain Leader trained and an outdoor expedition first aid trainer... which comes in very handy for our staff and leader training!
What can we say about our Teri? She's a STAR! Loved by everyone who travels with her, she has a keen eye for detail and will ensure you obtain a great experience from your Challenge. Teri has been with us from the very beginning! Never shy of a dance, Teri is a true and significant part of the Global Adventure Challenges Team and we really couldn't imagine trips without her.
She's bionic! An integral part of the services we provide and everyone who travels with her is privileged!
Stef met Pete trekking to Everest Base Camp - her enthusiasm for cycling, plus her vast experience of taking part in overseas charity challenges landed her the job! She's so passionate about charity events, she'll ensure you get a great experience from your Challenge and she's always got time for a song... even if it is out of tune! Stef's done it all - been a participant, and a leader so knows exactly how challenges should be run!
Mike Hammond is a true fanatic of Huskies, as is his mate, the other Mike below! Pete literally bumped into both Mikes whilst dog sledding in Lapland and Mike Hammond and Mike Turner are now our official Dog Sled Leaders! He has 10 of his own Huskies and when he's not leading our trips, he's seen with his dogs up and down the country racing!
As Mike Hammond, Mike Turner is also our official Dog Sled Guide. He's funny, enthusiastic and best mates with Mike Hammond above. Mike Turner also owns his owns Huskies and is often out and about with Mike Hammond......talking Huskies.....naturally.
Dawa is our man in Nepal and those who have trekked with him, are now his friends for life. He's honest, enthusiastic, safe, and a fountain of knowledge - a trip to Nepal without Dawa is just not the same. He's from Lukla, which is where we start our Everest Base Camp Trek and has lived in the mountains all his life - his back garden is literally the Everest region! A true asset to Global Adventure Challenges.
