Since its founding in 1970 the Downs Syndrome Association has successfully championed the rights of people with the condition to lead full and rewarding lives. Via our award winning literature, website and active telephone Helpline we provide high quality information, counselling and support for all people with Down’s syndrome plus their families, carers and professionals.

We also strive to improve knowledge of the condition and campaign to increase the autonomy and quality of care for people with Down’s syndrome. We employ a total of 36 staff, have offices in London, Belfast and Cardiff, and work with 102 regional groups who serve as local points of contact for many of our 23,000 members.
