HACT believes that efforts to transform our neighbourhoods must be rooted in the experiences of the people who live there. We work in the most disadvantage communities to delivery lasting change through partnerships with housing providers.

HACT values the stability and security of a roof over your head, and it is from this starting point we are able to make a difference.

Building community capacity, our work has included supporting community groups set up apprenticeship schemes for local residents; microfinance initiatives to help older home owners keep up with repairs and stay in their homes; helping refugees find meaningful employment in the housing sector, and supporting community groups to bring empty homes back to life. In 2012 we hope to expand this work and increase our impact in communities.
