HOPE – THE SOUTH’S LEADING MEDICAL RESEARCH CHARITY

HOPE is the fundraising name for the Wessex Medical Trust. The Trust was founded in 1977 and supports medical research across the Wessex Region: Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire and the Isle of Wight-and the Channel Islands.

In the last 27 years over £15 million has been raised for over 700 research projects.

The diseases studied include cancers, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s, osteoporosis, diabetes, brain injury and neurological disorders, and many others. HOPE’S research teams work within the region, often bringing direct benefit to patients.
