National Missing Persons Helpline (NMPH)

The National Missing Persons Helpline (NMPH) is a registered UK charity set up to offer help and support to missing persons, runaways and the families they leave behind. Since being established in 1992, the charity has offered support to more than 60,000 relatives of missing persons, found and reunited thousands of families, and helped thousands of young runaways get to a place of safety.

NMPH runs 3 national freefone helplines: Missing Persons Helpline, Message Home Helpline and the Runaway Helpline. Together, these helplines take over 150,000 calls for help each year.

People of all ages and from all walks of life go missing. The good news is that the majority of missing people turn up eventually and it is often the NMPH that finds them. The charity relies totally on people’s voluntary generosity to carry out its much-needed work.
