Spinal Injuries Association (SIA)

Every year in the UK over 1,000 people experience a spinal cord injury, which on average means 3 new injuries each day. Most injuries result in paralysis, the impact of which can turn lives upside down.

With the right support and information, people can still enjoy a full and independent life after injury. The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) is a user led organisation, supporting spinal cord injured people and their families from the moment of injury and for the rest of their lives.

SIA exists to:

  • Help people with spinal cord injuries rebuild their lives.
  • Encourage them to take control of their own lives.
  • Promote their full integration and participation in society

By taking part in an Overseas Challenge you can help SIA rebuild lives after paralysis.
