The Wessex Cancer Trust provides essential support for cancer patients and their families locally across the Wessex region, including children, teenagers and adults. Care and services include patient grants, emotional support and complementary therapies, transport, holiday homes, activities for children and much much more. We have also funded important research programmes, capital projects and vital equipment. Paediatric nurses are also funded to train to administer chemotherapy to children so they can have their treatment at hospitals closer to home. When diagnosed with cancer, patients receive our folders with information about their treatment, diet, exercise and lots of useful information. Our local volunteers groups work tirelessly to raise money for cancer patients, and all of our funding comes from the generosity of other people. Without this, we couldn’t help those in need, and we are grateful to everyone who supports us.
