The key to this lies in our staff – both office based and outdoor. We are mixture of fundraisers, adventure travel specialists and keen outdoor enthusiasts! Our friendly, flexible approach combined with professionalism makes us stand out beyond the rest. We don’t rely on hugely expensive flashy websites or massive marketing budgets to make us successful – we believe that world of mouth and recommendations is the best form of advertising and this is the platform for our success.

Throughout each challenge, the GAC crew work very closely with local professional guides (on international challenges) to ensure the event goes as smoothly as possible and all challenges are led by an English speaking challenge leader/s. The majority of our international challenges have a UK based challenge leader travel with the group from the departure airport and return with the group also. Check out the Safety and Security section found in the About Us area on the website.
In order to participate in a Global Adventure Challenge it is compulsory that you have adequate travel insurance. We are able to offer you travel insurance specifically tailored to these types of challenges. For up to date information on the relevant travel insurance company and the requirements for your chosen challenge, please see the Travel Insurance section.

Your registration fee is used to administer the challenge and is also used to secure your seats with the airlines and the various permits required in order to complete your challenge.
We need to source flights that best match our challenge itineraries and there are often no direct flights in order to get to the challenge destination. Please be aware that the airlines do not give good competitive rates for groups on direct flights so please be prepared for transit stops – these are perfect opportunities for you to get to know your fellow challengers! Remember, our challenges are designed to raise money for charity!
Yes. Please contact us and we can supply you with a ground only cost. You will be responsible for getting yourself to the pre-agreed meeting point at the challenge destination in order to meet up with the rest of the group.
Most of our challenges depart from London as flying from regional airports only adds to the flight cost. If you are flying down to London in order to meet the group, please allow plenty of time for your connection, as most internal budget airlines offer no flexibility. We regret that we cannot book any internal flights for you.
Once you have registered, you will receive a full fundraising pack from your charity, and in addition, you will receive a comprehensive fundraising guide from Global Adventure Challenges to assist you further. The nature of our challenge events and the good cause you are supporting will encourage a great response towards your goal. Many participants find the fundraising to be fun, and very often exceed the sponsorship targets. For further information about fundraising, check out the Fundraising section on our site.
First of all – don’t panic!! You will have been asked by the Charity to raise a percentage of the sponsorship money by a certain date. If you cannot do so it is possible that you may forfeit your right to take part. However, if you are having difficulties please let the Charity or ourselves know as soon as possible – we have many tried and tested methods that can help you succeed! Remember, you are not on your own, with fresh ideas and support you will take on the challenge of a lifetime. We will also try to put you in contact with other people taking part in your chosen challenge event so you can support each other and exchange fundraising tips. Alternatively, you could always transfer to a future challenge therefore giving you more time to get the remaining funds in – the cost to transfer to a future challenge is £60 + VAT (£70.50)
Extensions are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to extend your stay after completing the challenge, you can make arrangements for flight transfers and accommodation through Global Adventure Challenges.
