Afasic is the UK charity that helps and supports children and young people with speech, language and communication impairments and their families.

This hidden disability affects over 1 million children and young people.

Without help those affected will find it hard to reach their true potential, to make and keep friends, find employment or live independently. They can become isolated and excluded from society.

Afasic is a membership organisation and runs a helpline, backed up by clear and helpful publications and a website. Afasic runs workshops and conferences for parents and professionals and our field officers and local groups across the UK organise local training, undertake lobbying and offer support for families.
